I would suggest the meeting ends in chaos, due to contrived 'rebellion' from the BRIC nations. Then perhaps we are in for another dose of economic pain before Americans cave in to the austerity demands of their foreign creditors.
Remember, although the United States Dollar may be the world's reserve currency, we are also the largest debtor nation in the history of the planet. Creditors dictate the terms to the debtor, not the other way around. Global Tinfoil suggests you hedge your portfolio against currency risk, or else you may end up like the failed northern utopia called Iceland.

I don’t know why you, Jim, and not only you, others as well, constantly say that the US must buckle under to the demands of its creditors.
I say, and neither to sound flip nor in an attempt to inject humour into this very serious matter nor to in any way to make light of the situation, I say, fuck the creditors. Really, what are they going to do about it?
And I think my sentiments are shared by our current leadership, and probably by the incoming leadership as well, as evidenced by their foreign and domestic policies, lo these many years, which has placed us in the enviable position to tell the rest of the world, the G19 as it were, without impunity, to fuck themselves.

I got kicked off the Break For News forum for exposing some other posters as sock puppets, and I'm pretty sure Fintan is dis-info in some way. FWIW, I voted for Obama. I don't particularly like him (Kucinich was my first choice) because he's not leftist enough. I agree that he's got too many bank maggots around him. But I still support him. And I'm un-KoolAidy enough to have bailed out of the U.S. because I didn't like following Bush-herd off the cliff.
Anyway, it's amusing to read your take on things. I like to see the viewpoint of people whose thinking is WAAAAAY different to mine. Even if they seem a touch tetched.
So what does your TinFoilAnalysis make of the fact that Obama is sitting out Bretton Woods III? Will he be sneaking in the servant's entrance to join the nefarious plan secretly? Is he just the empty suit who will follow the dictates of the real PTB? Is he saving his fire for Bretton Woods IV next spring? Or is it something even worse?

P.S. Why is Australia allowed at the G-20? This is an empty suit of a country. It's a pleasant enough place, aside from the permanent drought, but it's still a pretend country, a vast expanse of nothingness with barely more than the population of Florida clinging to the few habitable slivers of green along the coasts. It's Iceland writ large in the desert. I demand that it be ejected from the G-20 so that the rest of the world will be more inclined to ignore it during the coming collapse.
